21st Century Program

Hannahville's 21st Century Community Learning Center Program (21st CCLC) is grant funded by the Bureau of Indian Education. The 21st CCLC Program's services are available to all of Hannahville's youth who reside on or near the reservation, regardless of what day school he or she attends. The 21st CCLC Coordinator's responsibilities include the development of academic lesson plans for all of the activities Hannahville's Youth Services Department offers. The Coordinator especially focuses on creatively integrating math, science and language arts into all after school and summer events and activities.The program also operates a "Strategic" Tutoring Program. Student Technology utilization is emphasized and supported by the center's 30 lap tops with wireless Internet and a host of digital cameras, video recorders and hand held GPS units.

Kidzone is an academically based program that is a large part of Hannahville's 21st CCLC Program. During the school year, Kidzone runs from 3-5:15 PM on M-Th. During the summer, Kidzone runs for 8-weeks from 7:45AM till 4PM on M-Th. Transportation, meals and snacks are provided free of charge.

Project Quest Tribal Youth Program

Project Quest is grant funded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention through a program titled "Tribal Youth Program".The original grant began on October 1st of 2005 and ended on September 30th, 2008. We were fortunate to receive another grant spanning five years beginning October 1st, 2008. The program funds a full-time coordinator to create and implement a variety of indoor and outdoor activities requiring physically activity. The activities include, basketball, soccer, mountain biking, canoeing, cross country skiing, down hill skiing, snowshoeing, swimming, camping, Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification and tutoring.

Youth Employment Program

The Hannahville Youth Services Department's Youth Employment Program is being developed with the assistance of funding from the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

Service Learning Program

Hannahville's Service Learning Program is funded my the Corporation for National and Community and Service's Learn and Serve America Program. In 2002, the Corporation for National and Community honored the Hannahville Indian School with the designating of being a Leader School.

CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program)

Good nutrition pays! The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) provides federal funds to Hannahville Youth Services to serve nutritious meals and snacks during non-school hours. The goal of the CACFP is to improve and maintain the health and nutritional status of children in care while promoting the development of good eating habits. It is federally funded through the United States Department of Agriculture and is administered statewide by the Michigan Department of Education.
